Feature of NoteGiving Tuesday Success!
As we reflect on the end of the year, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our 2024 Giving Tuesday campaign. We are delighted that our members and friends have rallied together to contribute to this vital fundraising effort. With $15,215 raised towards our $15,000 goal, we are thrilled to have secured nearly a quarter of our budget for 2025! We added many new donors, and our regular donors kept up their wonderful support. A special thanks this year to Michael Markowski, Marissa Kyser, and Rebecca Weissman for writing about their experiences while visiting the Percy Grainger Home and Studio (PGH&S). Their words added so much to this year's campaign and made us feel like we were visiting the house alongside each of them.
Your contributions directly impact our website, programs, and the preservation of the PGH&S. We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to our mission and for believing in the importance of preserving Percy Grainger's legacy. Together, we are ensuring that his music and vision continue to inspire future generations.
While we have met our original target, there is still an opportunity to support the Percy Grainger Society. If you would like to make a donation before January 31, click the button below.

Members of the PGS will soon receive their copy of Vol. 20, No. 2 of The Grainger Journal. All volumes of the journal are available electronically on the website, and further copies may be purchased from the publisher.
Highlights include Andrew Boyle’s exploration of two paintings by Jelka Delius, one of which is in our collection, and Andrew Hugill’s innovative work on expanding the Grainger Library of Sampled Sounds (GLOSS) for autistic and neurodivergent individuals. Additionally, Sarah Kirby and Heather Gaunt’s piece on the Grainger Amplified exhibition details the reinstallation of many of the original display cases and panels at the Grainger Museum. Accompanying this article are a number of texts from Percy's original display legends.
This issue reflects the dedication and passion of The Grainger Journal Committee and contributors. We look forward to the continued exploration of Grainger’s rich legacy in future editions.

At the Home & StudioThrough the Lens: The Graingers in White Plains
Continuing our exploration of the Percy Grainger Home & Studio in White Plains, we revisit a PGS blog post featuring an 8-minute video created by Matthew McGarrell (PGS Board Emeritus). This photo compilation video was first shown at the November 14, 2021 concert of Percy Grainger’s music by the Westchester Symphonic Winds, Curt Ebersole Conductor and Music Director, performed at the Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, New York. The photographs were selected from the collection of the Percy Grainger Home and Studio in White Plains, New York by Barry Peter Ould, Susan Edwards Colson, and Anne Ocone. The video opens with sounds from within the house and continues with a 1929 78 rpm disc recording of Percy Grainger playing his piano arrangement of Jutish Medley. Follow this link to view the video.
